Fanservice - an anime must, or a necessary evil? Here at Magical Girl Club, we don't agree with either view! Most magical girl series do not contain fan service - but there are some that absolutely do. Today, we're discussing why that is! Here at Magical Girl Club, we LOVE Precure - aka Pretty Cure, aka Glitter Force - and we know it can be daunting to begin with. While we do have a list of guides to where you SHOULD start watching (HERE), we also think it's worth mentioning the seasons you SHOULDN'T start with, too! Stand-Alone Seasons:Happiness ChargeNo season has received quite as much fan hate as Happiness Charge. Whether you consider it justified or not is down to personal opinion, but most fans will still agree it isn't the ideal starting point. Many of the plot points and tropes are very different from the rest of the franchise, and the overall tone is unique. This often leads to a skewed view, and those who don't like it may find themselves discouraged from starting a better season - and those who do like it may be discouraged when the others are so different.
