ABOUT:Middle school student Ichika loves sweets and baking, and dreams of working in a patisserie. Unfortunately, she isn't actually very good at baking. Meanwhile, the fairies have been expelled from their home by the evil forces who seek to steal and destroy their KiraKiraru, the magic of feelings that is baked inside sweets. Ichika encounters Pekorin, one of the fairies, who teaches her how to make a better cake. However, the cake is corrupted by evil, and Pekorin attempts to save it. Together, they save the cake, and discover that Ichika has the power to become a Pretty Cure - a legendary Patisserie, able to fight off the monsters and purify KiraKiraru. They are soon joined by other Precure and fairies, who together fight evil, set up a sweets shop, and each pursuing their own dreams. This series has less 'school' than others in the franchise, but still retains the slice-of-life style through the patisserie and the girls individual interests. There's plenty of comedy, a lightweight yuri romance, and of course the iconic Precure action scenes. This is the first season & sequel of the magical girl meta series Precure. If you'd like to find out more, see our PRECURE GUIDES. ABOUT:In Futari Wa Precure, Nagisa and Honoka, two very different girls attending the same middle school, encounter the fairies Meeple and Mipple who - when the girls show courage - give them the power to become Pretty Cure. Unfortunately, the two can't use it unless they're together! As Pretty Cure - also known as Precure and Cures - the two must fight against the Dark Zone, preventing the evil that overtook the Fairies' world - the Garden of Light - from taking over Earth. In order to succeed, they must collect prism stones, which can restore power to the Garden of Light. In Futari Wa Precure Max Heart, Nagisa and Honoka discover a young girl named Hikari, who will change the course of the series. The three must collect Heartiels to restore her power, as well as face returned enemies. This series is one of the earliest to use action heroines, particularly with superhero-styled, physical combat battles. While it may seem old-hat to new viewers, it was truly revolutionary and unique at the time it aired.
